Within 30 days of your tenant paying a deposit under an assured shorthold or assured tenancy agreement, you should use this document to notify them of which deposit protection scheme you are using. There is a legal requirement for landlords to enrol in a scheme and notify their tenants of the details within 30 days of payment. Please note that this document is only for use in England & Wales.
